How to merge PDF files without uploading them
Merging PDFs shouldn't mean handing your documents to a server. Arcanize combines your files inside your browser, so resumes, ID copies and statements stay on your device.
Select two or more PDF files, put them in the right order and click Merge PDFs. The combined file is built on your device and is ready to download straight away.
Local processing: No server uploads. Your files stay on your device.
No waiting: There is nothing to upload or download, so merging starts immediately.
No daily quota: Merge as many times as you like, with no sign-up.
Merge PDF files in 4 steps
- Click Select Files and choose two or more PDFs, or drop them onto the page.
- Use the up and down arrows next to each file to put them in the order you want.

- Click Download File to save the combined PDF.
Good to know
- You need at least two PDF files.
- Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked before they can be merged.
- There is no fixed size limit, but very large files depend on how much memory your device has.
- Pages are copied as they are. Merging does not recompress or change their quality.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Arcanize PDF merger free?
Yes. Merging is free, needs no account and adds no watermark to the combined file.
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. The files are read and combined by your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to Arcanize.
Can I change the order of the files before merging?
Yes. After selecting your files, use the up and down arrows beside each file. The merged PDF follows the order shown in the list.
Can I merge images and PDFs together?
Not in one step. Convert the images with the Images to PDF tool first, then merge that PDF with your other files.
Does merging reduce the quality of my PDFs?
No. Pages are copied into the new file without recompression. If the merged file is too large, run it through Compress PDF afterwards.
Can I merge PDF files on my phone?
Yes. This page works in mobile browsers such as Chrome and Safari. On Android you can also use the Arcanize app, which works without an internet connection.
